Two Sentence Scary Story Contest
In this contest, students were challenged to come up with a scary story using only two sentences. They were given examples, could submit through a Google Form, and English teachers helped me run the contest. Students did an intial round of submissions, I went through and picked a top ten, and then students and staff voted on their favorite for the big prize. PRINTABLES/RESOURCES |
Guess the Emoji Book Contest
In the Guess the Emoji Book Contest, students were given multiple book plots told in just emojis. They had to guess what book they though was being described through the emojis. PRINTABLES/RESOURCES |
Classic Book Ornament Contest
In this contest, I weeded a few classic novels, shredded them up with a paper shredder, and placed them inside a clear fillable ornament. I hung them on our small Christmas tree, and students had to guess what books were shredded in each ornament. PRINTABLES/RESOURCES |
